Nearly every seasoned guitar player has had at least one bad experience with a Guitar Center or Sam Ash guitar tech. Whether it be ignorance, incompetence or arrogance, I finally got to a point that I feared leaving my babies at the mentioned retailers for routine adjustments and repairs. I decided to find an actual luthier with tech experience and found TR Guitars. Tom Rieser’s mobile service allowed me to have him service 8 guitars in one sitting and he did everything from setups, bridge and action adjustments, to general cosmetic restoration. My collection looks brand new and every guitar plays like a dream. Plus Tom is just a good dude who has no problem doing all of his repairs while you watch. I couldn’t be more satisfied with his work and I feel like I got a masterclass on guitar maintenance and repair. AND I saved a lot of money! If you are a player in Orange County or the Inland Empire (anywhere he’s willing to drive) no matter what your skill level, Tom Rieser should be your go to guitar tech.

Thought I came into a world-ending issue with my electric input jack, called the number, Tom said no big deal, made an appointment and fixed it right up the next day. Couldn’t recommend more, great service!

TR Guitars is great! Tom has worked my guitars since I was a kid and has worked on my Dad's guitars before that. The pricing is very reasonable for the caliber of work done. He's worked on electric and acoustic guitars for us. He actually was able to fix a snapped head-stock of an old Martin acoustic. Pretty much a miracle fix at that point. It can sometimes be challenging to schedule an appointment. But it's because he's always busy, as the work is so good. Highly recommend!

I first had Tom do some work refretting a couple of electric guitars for me in the early 1980's. Ever since then if I need some quality work done on any of my guitars he's the man. His work is impeccable. He's the best I've found anywhere. He just last week did some things to an Ibanez guitar I own and it plays so well it's amazing. He set it up so well he turned an inexpensive guitar into an expensive one but not because he charged me a lot. The guitar was reborn into a better life. I can't say enough about how good he is. Thanks Tom.

If you have a guitar that needs a tuneup, new strings, or a full overhaul Tom is the guy I would recommend. I have used him to fix up my guitars for different times so far. I usually go to see him every three months to put on new strings and do a tuneup. I usually sit there and chat him up while he fixes my base. It’s cool because he’s methodical in his tuneup every single time. He will tighten up all of the pieces and components on your instrument change the strings make sure that your guitar is in tiptop working shape. He is an incredibly nice guy to boot. Again if you’re looking for a guitar tech to help you Tom is the guy.

Tommy has been working on my guitars for a few months now. He is doing amazing work on all the guitars I throw (not literally) at him. He revived a Gibson ES-335 and a handmade Roessel guitar for me, two Stratocasters, and one guild have been serviced. After looking for someone to entrust my guitars with, I finally found TR. Tom is amazing! He came to my home and fixed 4 guitars! Replaced all the electronics in my PRS and as an added bonus, made it possible to switch between single and humbucker. Tom is a true guitar hero!!!
